Emergencies

Medical emergencies

Small animals can be very delicate, so it's best to be prepared for an emergency. See our section on care for each species to know what to expect. You can also view our list of vets to help find an emergency small animal vet near you.

Wildlife

Never attempt to feed wildlife. Always handle wildlife with gloves, or you may be putting it at risk for euthanasia, as well as putting yourself at risk for disease.

Contact the following wildlife centers for advice or to surrender wildlife in distress.
